MODIFICATION IN

ELIGIBILITY CLAUSE

 

Board in its meeting held on 18.02.2009 had approved the introduction of above

scheme. The scheme was circulated vide HRD Circular No.515 dated 19.02.2009. In

terms of the said circular, officers/workmen who have retired voluntarily under PNB

Officers’ Service Regulations / Bipartite Settlement, i.e. after 30 years of service or 55 years of age, whichever is earlier, have not been included.

 

We have received representation from All India PNB Retired Officers’ Association

suggesting modification in the scheme, to the extent that such officers who had retired either on attaining the age of 55 years or completed 30 years of service, whichever is earlier, be made eligible to opt for the scheme since such officers were member of the PNB Hospitalisation Contributory Benefit Scheme for Retired Officers.

In terms of the HRD Circular no. 515 dated 19.02.2009, any changes/modifications in the scheme can be made only by the Core Working Group. Accordingly, Core Working Group deliberated upon the matter and decided as under:
